Ceger "crossing bridge"

once my mentor said "you don't have to go to a photo trip to take pictures, it can be anywhere, it canve whatever, that could be a good object and become good pictures"....

this crossing bridge is located in the TB Simatupang-Ceger-Cakung tool road, that passed by frequently.  i hardly notice it until one night, so I stopped, went out of the tool road, and taking these pictures....

Faces of Bromo

"bromo are not always about mountain" pak Sigit Pramono, the photographer who has a second job as banker (ha....ha....ha.....) and mas Lans Brahmantyo once said to me.....  and that's so true........

here are some faces taken during the kesodo night

Bromo in Square

as an self-learned photo enthusiast, I need a based theory, to support my photo - instinct ... so i took the "basic photography" course at Neumatt Photography School, Gunung Sahari, Jakarta - Indonesia.

And really lucky that I have had a very good mentor, mas Tirto Andayanto.

here are photos from my first photo trip, out of town, with Neumatt

on the first night we were experiencing the "kesodo night", the next day, the journey start with a drive in the "sea of sand"

and we also visited the "Ranu Pane", one of the lakes sorrounding Mt. Bromo

and the Mt. Bromo, taken from Pananjakan

also I have the luck the get these pictures, just because I get up early
and that's reminded me to a Chinese quote "early bird got all the good food"

and here are some "colourful" pictures of Mt. Bromo, from Pananjakan.  We have to get up there before dawn, around 3am, the catch the sunrise .... too bad we didn't catch the sunrise due to the mists

random pictures

this is an album of randoms picture that I took in many places....
again, just tried to be at the right places, catch the right moments, lights, shadows and souls

hope you all could feel the same feeling as me

The first 5 (five) photos were taken at Jakarta Motorshow couple of years back,  to be frank, I am not an avid fans of cars,  And usually I don't keen to go to JHCC during an event there because the crowd are to much for me, I can't enjoy anything that exhibited there.  But my wife, a PR consultants, ask me to accompany her overseeing her works there.  Gladly, we were going before the exhibition was opened, so there were not so many crowds..... and I strolling around taking pictures.

I was very happy taking these moments.......
It was just a split second, luckily that I always put my camera "on" everytime with Apperture priority setting + spot metering.....
and voila.... got these beutiful pictures of Becky Tumewu

Taufik Abdullah is one of the best artist/writer to me....

To me Sandiaga S. Uno, is an interesting figures to be taken his pictures. His personality, his always smiling faces and his batiks are just like candies to a small kids. Very fortunate that he came to the event, and also reading his "poet"..... Enjoy!!!!!

"Museum Nasional" is always catch my eyes, but as there are many great photos of this particular museum, I don't dare to take any. As my wife mentoned that she got an invitation to attend Balai Pustaka books relaunching event in the evening, I begged her to accompany her. I have picturized the images that I want to take even before the event, and very fortunate that the "weather" was great.

This album taken from an event of Balai Pustaka's old books relaunching, i.e. Siti Nurbaya, Layar Terkembang etc.
I really love to catch the moments, peoples, lights, shadows and ambience of the place and event.
